So first I’m going to share a story with you. Back in 2013, I came across a network marketing opportunity. I was SUPER excited! I was a part of a team. We all attended big events every Saturday in the city, we even drove 16 hours to North Carolina to a huge conference! It was amazing to be surrounded by people that had the same energy and excitement as me about this opportunity! We came back home ready to share what we learned with the world. I spoke to everyone I knew, visited businesses, reached out to friends and family. I wanted to share my new opportunity with everyone I knew! But unfortunately, they didn’t have the same excitement as me! Not one person! After some time, I decided this wasn’t for me. I actually started losing friends because people thought I was in a pyramid scheme. So I quit, which is not really the type of person I am, but I didn’t like annoying people and I wasn’t making any money anyway (this was my thought process at the time) Six years goes by. I’m watching a YouTube video and this guy pops up during the video I was watching and starts talking about making money online. This spikes my interest, so I clicked on the link which took me to a series of videos.
I had the same excitement as I did when I was in Network marketing 6 years back, but this just made more sense . The CEO of the company was explaining that your friends and family aren’t your ideal clients. The next 8 months I watched every video and learned everything I could. I learned about Affiliate marketing, Email marketing, Traffic funnels, Importing and Exporting, you name it! This was all interesting, but a few months after all the training, I was contacted by a woman who introduced me to this concept called Attraction Marketing. She taught me that there’s a niche of people already interested in the same opportunities as me, but they don’t have the right tools or principles to making it happen. And these people don’t have the right strategies and leadership to become successful! Attraction Marketing at its core starts with finding a hungry market called a “niche market” who’s already looking to get out of the 9-5 grind and create a home-based business. So, what is a niche market? It’s a segment of people that you have identified that have a specific problem that they want to solve. And that problem is motivating them to search for a solution.
Their motivation is doing the selling for you. My job is to figure out how to be attractive to them so they view me as the solution to their problem. Now, I can exclude the people who are not looking for my solution. I can focus my efforts to becoming attractive to the people who are interested in what I have to offer! This attraction is what makes you makes you magnetic on social media because it’s all about solving people’s problems. So how do I become attractive to my niche market you ask! Well let me tell you....
Step #1 Brand Yourself
You need to think about yourself as the Business and the Brand. Your network marketing business is an added revenue stream to the brand. You are going to brand yourself by helping people solve their problems. The first way to do this is to understand how you can add value to your audience.
Step #2 Grow your Following
The first step is setting up a Personal Profile Page (just for business) You want to add at least 30 friends a day and eventually have 5000 Facebook friends. And you want to add the right people, so be selective! I’m going to share a Little Secret! You don’t want to add friends on your computer, Facebook doesn’t like this and may block you! You can add 60 friends a day from your phone! On your page, you want to add a nice professional profile picture of yourself with a nice header, create a bio that explains what you do and who you are. And instead of promoting products on your page, you want to create value through your content.
Step #3 Create a Central Hub
The best way to set this up is to create a Private Facebook community. This allows you to attract like minded people into a community to facilitate their growth to educate them and helping them solve their problems. And you can post content to educate them. This is also a good way to get people and other leaders to come in and speak to your community. It becomes more of a hang out where people can post content and share their value. This is the best way to build and grow your business.
Step #4 Create Content
This is the engine that drives your business. It could be a Facebook live, a post on your Facebook Page, an interview with an influential leader or someone that you have commonalities with, a YouTube video or a blog. If you feel lost and don’t know what kind of content to share, go to YouTube and look up people that inspire you. Take notes on the content they share, then turn it into something that is yours! This is going to be the magnet that pulls people into you. What’s going to make you stand out? It’s going to be your perspective, your content and consistency.
Step #5 Go out and find your Niche
Join other groups, post valuable content, engage with people in other groups. Pick 3-5 groups that resonate with you and your message. You don’t want to be in groups where people are constantly promoting themselves. You want to find groups where there’s a lot of engagement.
