Steps to Manage Stress at Work

Observe your Stressors
Stressors are the agents or things that make you stressed. It is advised to have a list and identify the things that make you stressed to enable you to have control over them whenever the need arises.

Indulge in Physical Activities
Whenever you are stressed or tensed, engage in physical exercise, it relieves your stress and calms the body and mind. Exercising lifts your mood, increases your energy and sharpens your focus.

Be Organized
Plan your schedules for the day, if possible for the week. Do not forget to plan your regular breaks for the day and prioritize your most important tasks and projects earlier in the day because it is natural to be less active as the day goes by.

Take a Nap
Stress can’t be managed through the use of drugs, resting will do a lot more. Reduce your intake of caffeine and alcohol in the evening as this could prevent you from having a sound sleep.

Time Management
Learn to stick to your daily schedule plans, there are only 24 hours in a day and 9 hours belongs to your occupation. Good time management is important, it helps you to manage your daily rundown of activities.

Hold a Conversation
Take a break from your work and talk to a colleague or more, this will reset your mood for the time being. Stress can make you partial in judgment, talk things through and see clearly.

Take Control
Just as in the first point, observe your stressors and keep a record of how to control each and every situation that causes you to stress.
In conclusion, ensure that you manage every stressor efficiently so as to promote productivity, maintain a healthy, happy and balanced lifestyle.
