Note that Nose Mask is a great prevention during this COVID-19 pandemic, meanwhile the oxygen intake is not 100% due to the use of the Nose Mask, also Carbon Dioxide is being inhaled as well.Now when the Carbon Dioxide is breathed into the lungs, it dissolves into water in the lungs and diffuses across the Alveolar-Capillary Membrane then enters the blood stream. As it combines with water, it forms Carbonic Acid, making the blood slightly acidic.
When the Carbon Dioxide level becomes excessive,an acidosis occurs.

Symptoms of acidosis include: Dull Headache,Dizziness,Rapid Breathing, Rapid Heart Rate, Clumsiness, Emotional Upset, Fatigue, Collapse, Convulsion, Coma, Death.

PREVENTION: The following methods can be adopted to reduce the intake of Carbon Dioxide:

1. Use the mask in Public / Open and well ventilated places.

2. Exercise regularly especially Aerobics.

3. Don't use thick cloth for nose Mask.

4. Wash the Nose Mask with warm water, detergent and hypo or jik, if you must re-use it.
