CRAZY BUT AVOIDABLE THINGS THAT HAPPEN IN LOCAL MARKETS

Going to the local markets can be filled with mix emotions, one time you are enjoying the moment, maybe because you are bargaining right, you saw exactly what you needed then boom you get into an argument with market erranders, maybe for stepping on you, walking aggressively and hitting you in the process. Local markets can give you a circus experience sometimes but here are 3 crazy things that happen inevitably but are avoidable.

1.  Extremely Large Crowd: Despite the partial market lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic, every local market is always crowded on those open days. Inevitably, you will meet careless people without nose masks, sneezing, coughing, sweating and all sorts.

2. Too many Options:  As always, you are faced with many options when you go to the market in Lagos that sometimes you forget important things you need and buy unnecessary things then you are short on budget.

3. Haggling: A solemn requirement before you can be a certified Market goer, is your ability to haggle and get market women to sell to you at favourable prices. This prowess cannot be applauded enough considering the number of insults you might have gotten before you eventually win the bargain.

These experiences are fun and maybe a "must experience" for some. But, during this Covid-19 spread that has become a global pandemic, we all have to take responsibility and make sure we keep ourself safe as well as our family.

Stay Safe !!!
