Disclosure in investing refers to voluntary sharing of otherwise hidden information by companies and other Issuers of securities. Exchanges and Regulators often stipulate disclosure requirements for listed companies which impose higher standards than strictly required by law. These disclosures may or may not relate to adverse information which investors should know before putting money into the said securities. Committing to higher disclosure standards than required is a great way for a business to distinguish itself. How much transparency are you displaying as a business?
